Building for the Future

Prepping the site began and ended so quickly! The two houses that had once been lovingly pieced together -after pulling one across the ice- kept the weather off of the heads of my ancestors for almost 200 years. The bones of the houses had been pulling away from eachother for a couple decades and the roof was compromised. The horse-hair plaster walls had grown 'hair' of their own and the mold was toxic in the summer bloom. It was time. The house was past its prime and the raccoon condo needed to come down.

Home Sweet Home!

2020-2021 Building a home was a monumental job but we are finally in and so are our new pups! There are so many people to thank for making this dream a reality! A self build is not for the faint of heart! My mom has come to visit from Ontario and, after self-isolating, is such a great help and another face the puppies get so excited to see. Babies love grandmas! The house is on the foundation my dad poured years ago and has the original house dimensions. What a blessing to be able to build on the foundations that our relatives have prepared. We chose to keep the house yellow and just add a few dormers for character as well as the veranda and deck.Everyone here loves the deck, the animals love the shade and shelter below and we love being up in the gentle summer breezes. We sure feel blessed to be in our home sweet home!

Updating Our Focus

We are reorienting our focus back to our trees and permaculture plans. We have stopped breeding our lovely pups as they are primarily Livestock Guardian Dogs and the two quite large litters took a toll on our sweet Daisy. We appreciate our extended puppy families and will continue to support them. As we evolve and grow I hope to have more news... until then, be blessed!

Mission and Aspirations

Prince Edward Island, Canada

We’re dedicated to providing a wholesome farm experience to everyone who visits. Our crops, homemade goods, fun and educational activities are designed to bring visitors closer to creation while providing a memorable experience. We are using as many permaculture farming methods as we can to protect the environment while providing the community with the best and natural foods that can be grown. God led us here and we are walking boldly the path set before us.
